The Audi S4 Quattro will be in the show rooms this winter or early spring. It may be considered a 2001 model. This windshield has top molding that is of a water-diverting style. It may have to be replaced with the glass. This vehicle requires high-modulus urethane.

Windshield Removal
Protect all surfaces inside and out. Place protective tape in the areas where a tool may slip and damage the surface. Tape the defroster vents to prevent glass and debris from falling into them. Remove the rearview mirror by grasping the base and making a 1/4 turn. Remove the wiper arms by removing the caps and the 14 mm nuts. Remove the wipers and store in safe area. Remove the cowl by removing the five plastic Phillip’s head screws from the cowl fascia. Then remove the hood bulb seal. Remove and store in safe place.

The A pillar moldings are made of flexible vinyl that insert into a retainer attached to the pinchweld wall. They should be salvageable. The top molding will have to be cut off. It is a water-diverting style and is very stiff and rigid. We are unsure if this top molding comes with the glass or not. Use of a universal type molding is possible if necessary. Cut out the glass using your preferred method. Remove the old urethane from the pinchweld, taking care to eliminate any scratches in the process.
