This document provides an outline for upgrading from the 2.5 (Limited Availability) version of SAS OpRisk Monitor to the Hotfix issued for that release. These instructions are not completely self-contained; it is also necessary to follow some of the instructions in the Configuration Guide for Monitor 2.5., as referenced in the following.

Before performing any upgrade or modification of an existing installation of OpRisk Monitor, it is strongly recommended that you preserve a backup copy of both the operational database and the application configuration.

Step 1: Preserve Existing Configuration
When you installed and configured OpRisk Monitor, you modified certain files in the installation. It is important to save those files, because you will need to re-apply the configuration changes after installing the Hotfix.

Following the convention of the Configuration Guide, $MONITOR refers to the root installation directory of OpRisk Monitor.
