Photoshop – Tipsheet 9
Photoshop Elements is a desktop publishing package designed for editing & converting digital images. This tip sheet is an overview of the things you might want to know about Photoshop.
On a PC, you open Photoshop Elements by clicking on Start > Course Specific Resources > Desktop Publishing > Photoshop Elements 3 – 0 -1 R1 On a Mac, click and hold for 2 seconds on the Shortcuts folder to the left of the trash bin on the dock (bottom right).
Choose Multimedia > Photoshop Elements. To open files with Photoshop Elements, click File > Open and locate your file. If you want to use a scanned image and you are using one of the scanning computers, then click File > Import > Microtek Scanwizard 5
If you copy an image onto the clipboard from another program and you wish to edit this using Photoshop, choose New > From Clipboard from the File menu, and a new file will automatically be created. Alternatively, just open a new Photoshop file from the File menu and paste your image into it. It should automatically be the right size for the image that you have copied.
