This guide is provided as an aid to using the MC/ServiceGuard utility supplied with Samsung Contact on HP-UX versions 10.20 and above. MC/ServiceGuard can be used with single or multiple Samsung Contact systems on a standalone machine, or with multiple Samsung Contact systems running on a cluster. It is designed to prevent system downtime if any Samsung Contact system suffers hardware or software failure.

This guide is intended for use by persons responsible for administering Samsung Contact MC/ServiceGuard systems and should be read before installing Samsung Contact with MC/ServiceGuard.

The guide should be used in conjunction with the following documentation:
• Managing MC/ServiceGuard
• Samsung Contact Technical Reference Guide
• Samsung Contact Installation Instructions
The guide also includes information on configuring Sendmail and X.400 transport services when these are used with Samsung Contact MC/ServiceGuard.
