Alfa Romeo Owners Club Convention Handbook

The Alfa Romeo Owners club has held an annual meeting since the club’s inception in 1958. In the early years the meeting was usually in Chicago in February or March and included a speaker and a few race cars on display. In 1969 the meeting was in late April, outside Chicago, and a track event, concours de elegance, and rally were added. It was the first convention as we know it. Since then, a lot has been learned about what appeals to convention-going Alfa owners, and how to fit it all into (usually) three and a half days.

DETAILED SET-UP GUIDE
I) BATTERY INSTALLATION
Note: Batteries will fit tightly. To avoid start-up problems make sure that the batteries do not spring free.
A) RAINFALL TRANSMITTER
1. Remove the flat-head screw and battery cover, located on the underside of the base.
2. Observe the correct polarity, and install two AA batteries.
3. Make sure the rubber weather seal is in place and replace the battery cover and screw.
4. Separate the base by turning the rainfall collector in a counter-clockwise direction. Remove the tape from the teeter-totter. Replace the cover.

Neo iON Instruction Manual

The first and most important step in using the Neo iON is setting the dip-switches on the black box; this makes the iON compatible with the vehicle it is being installed in. The iON will not work if this step is not followed correctly. The dip switches can be found on the side of the black plastic box which connects to the iON. Remove: Lift vehicle. Remove lower engine cover. Dismount front exhaust tube Remove catalytic converter. Dismount central silencer. Remove water tank cover. Remove water tank insulation. INSTALLING THE RADIO GEAR Skip if already assembled in RTR version
a. Install the receiver switch onto the servo mount beside the steering servo with 2 tap screws.
b. Install the steering servo onto the servo mount with four tap screws. (Note the output shaft should be centered between the chassis frames.)
c. Install the throttle servo onto the servo mount with 4 tap screws. The mounting position is shown in this manual.

Blank off the vacuum outlet pipe with the rubber plug supplied. 3. Unclip and remove the intake scoop from the front cross member and air box assembly. 4. Remove the flexi hose from between the exhaust manifold and the air box hot air flap. 5. Remove the air box assembly from the front mounting rubber, then slide the assembly out of the rear mounting grommets. Remove the assembly from the car. 1.
