Adobe Photoshop® TIFF Technical Notes

This document describes the two compression schemes added by the Adobe Photoshop® “Advanced TIFF” options dialog when saving TIFF files. The two options are ZIP (Deflate/Inflate) and JPEG. The next two sections give the details of the TIFF file structure when saving with these options. This document also describes the Image Source data tag written by Photoshop under tag number 37724.

Combining images in PhotoshoP tiPs

Make sure resolution is the same and then that sizes are appropriate. First, size your base image.
Target dpi
For viewing on web page, most practical: 72dpi and actual size you want it seen.
For printing in class, 200 dpi
For commercial printing, 300 dpi

Make resolution of images you are adding the same as the base image. Reduce or enlarge images you are adding to the size you will want them to be or slightly larger Choose one of several ways to move images onto the base image.

The Java Verified(TM) Program Guide

Adobe Photoshop CS3 – Shortcuts, Tips & Tricks

In Photoshop CS3,many of the shortcuts for the application menus,palette menus and tools can be customized using the Keyboard Shortcuts Editor. Although this document mentions some of these “customizable” shortcuts, it also provides additional functionality only accessible through the use of keyboard modifiers (which can’t be changed through the Keyboard Shortcut editor). This article focuses on an often-neglected but all-important aspect of any software application – the user interface. For years, desktop applications have had boring gray rectangular windows, buttons etc. Animation, multi-media, visual effects and custom elements were possible, but required large amount of custom programming.
