Timing belt replacement intervals

The information relating to timing belt replacement intervals is additional to the main purpose of this CD, but is included to provide guidance to garages and for customer advice. Where possible the recommended intervals have been compiled from vehicle manufacturers’ information. In a few instances no recommendation has been made by the manufacturer and the decision to replace the belt must be made from the evidence of a thorough examination of the condition of the existing belt.

BMW 1985 – 325e Timing Belt and Water Pump Replacement

Some people say that this job can easily be done with the hood on the car. I found it MUCH easier with the hood off as I ran into a few problems and had better reach with the hood off. Before removing the hood, trace the hinges with a Sharpie or other pen so alignment is easy when you put the hood back on. Mark everything well. Here I’ve marked the proper wiring attachments for the radiator electronics.

Honda S2000 Seat Belt Lock Remote Installation

This product is to be used ONLY on the Honda S2000 and is intended to provide increased driver support when using the stock lap belt and shoulder harness. It is NOT to be used as a replacement for competition belts or at any event where 4 or 5-point restraint systems are required. This product uses an electro-magnet to activate the factory inertia-sensing mechanism built into the seat belt assembly. It does not alter the factory restraint system in any way and has no effect on the seat belt retractors or air bag system. It simply activates the “tilt” mechanism built into the seat belt, the one that normally kicks in only when you corner or brake very hard. Modifry’s Seat Belt Lock is relatively easy to install and can be quickly removed, leaving no trace it was there.

Alfa Romeo 156 Brake Replacement Guide

The procedure below was written up for a 1998 2.0 Twinspark with vented front discs but should be the same for all 156 models. The shape of the pads will differ between vented and solid discs at the front. Later models have larger rear discs and therefore different pads. It should not matter if we are talking standard brakes with normal or drilled/grooved discs with high-speed road pads – the process is the same. The only difference is that some front pads don’t have the wear indicator so you will need to tie the cable back out of the way if not required.
