This is what we’re starting with; a bone stock engine bay. The first step is to disconnect the negative battery cable. This will help to prevent any potential electrical problems, and also will “reset” the PCM so that the computer will be able to “re-learn” the engine with the new intake in place. To disconnect the battery cable, you will need a 10mm socket or wrench. (Note that this may erase your radio station presets, so you might want to write them down first, just in case.)

The K&Nо Drycharger included with this kit must be installed on the K&Nо air filter when used with this K&Nо cold air intake system. The K&N cold air intake system a performance product that can be used safely during mild weather conditions. During harsh and inclement weather conditions, you must convert your cold air intake system to a short ram configuration, or return your vehicle to the stock OEM air box and intake tract configuration. Before you start installation
Take some engine bay pictures for later reference.
Make a special drawing of all the coolant hoses going to the different parts of the stock intake, you will need this later on. The same goes for the vacuum hoses to the different parts of the intake.
Mark the electrical connectors to the MAP sensor and TPS sensor. You will need this later on.
Drain the engine coolant.

Compact Heat Pump Operating Instructions
Prior to use : -
1 Turn off the power supply at the local isolator
2 Open the door, using a coin or similar tool to unlock it
3 Check that the ground pressure gauge reads at least 0.3 bar. If the pressure is lower than this, open the mains cold water supply valve (fitted outside the case) fully until the gauge reads at least 1.8 bar, at which point a “click”will be heard. Close the mains cold water supply valve fully. If you can’t find this valve, or when you open it the gauge reading does not increase, call your installer and ask them about the mains cold water supply valve on the slinky ground array circuit.
