We’re importing a vector-based image (the lettering),which was designed in an illustration program (i.e.Illustrator, Freehand,Corel or some sign application),into Photoshop® where it will be rasterized into a bitmap image.We’re then beveling that image,adding some simple airbrushed “hot spots”and then exporting it out of Photoshop as an RGB JPG file.Back in our original illustration program,we’ll import that JPG back into our file,place it over the lettering and paste it inside of it.The process of beveling JMV is the same used for Landscaping. The essential distinction between SDTV and HDTV is bound up in the core issue of the term “high definition”. It implies that HDTV is distinguished from traditional video primarily by more “definition” – thus producing much higher picture sharpness. Photographs are continuous-tone images because you cannot distinguish divisions, or gradations, between colors. Printed images are not continuous-tone images. Instead, printers create the illusion of many colors using halftone dots. Most printed images are made up of rows of dots of varying sizes, called halftone screens, which produce the appearance of multiple tones when printed.

The quality of a printed image is greatly influenced by the refinement of its halftone screen. The finer the screen, the less apparent the dot pattern, because there are more dots per area and they are closer together. A high-resolution imagesetter, which can produce a high number of dots per inch, will accommodate a fine halftone screen.
