ArchiCAD advice

Printing to a PDF file:
Set up your line weights first. I like to use hairlines for the on screen display and for most quick linework for printing (very thin lines). Line thicknesses are established in the pens and colours dialog box. You can select a pen colour, and adjust the thickness for printing or for on-screen display. There is another dialog box for determining whether or not you will see hairlines on screen or true line thicknesses. I just use hairlines on screen: easier for accuracy in making things and easier on my eyes.

Permission Granted: ADC triumphs on a tough site with ArchiCAD

The site was in a very appealing location, within one of the housing hotspots of the Midlands. The private location in a leafy green setting was perfect for a high quality development of four 2.5 storey 2500sqft detached houses. How to Convert a Photo into a Drawing in Photoshop

I. Smoothening the Photo
1. Open the jpg-image in Photoshop
2. Filters Blur Gaussian blur (radius: around 2-6. Should be really unsharp)
3. Edit Fade gaussian blur (mode: Darken). This step must be made immediately after blurring, else you will not find it in the Edit menu…
4. Filter Blur Smart Blur to smoothen out the picture. mode: “normal”, quality: “high”. Radius (0.8) and Threshold (25)

Oracle Database Listener Security Guide

The Oracle Database Listener is the database server software component that manages the network traffic between the Oracle Database and the client.
