Wall Behavior or ArchiCAD and Constructor

This document provides a summary of behaviors for the wall object in current ArchiCAD and Constructor, GraphiSoft.
The Appendix is quoted directly from the help file in Constructor. It provides detail information of a wall object including its constructions and behaviors.
Five tasks are to be investigated in this report, including:
1) Is a wall segment delimited to have a single floor plane?
2) Is a wall also delimited to a single roof plane?
3) Can a wall have non-horizontal changes in construction (through its cross-section)?
4) Does the wall object support internal framing layout?
5) Can a wall be a lofted surface, with a bottom curve and top (or intermediate curve) that is lofted between?

FLASH MX Tutorial Creating Drag and Drop Objects that snap into Place – Make a Puzzle

In order to make a puzzle where you can drag the pieces into place, you will first need to select a picture and slide it into pieces. You can use an image editor like Adobe photoshop, create some guides on top, then use the marquee tool to select each square copy it and paste it into a new file. Then save the graphics – I recommend you name them something like puz1.jpg, puz2.jpg etc. You may want to start with a really simple puzzle that contains only 4 or 9 pieces. The one below uses 12. Making your photo Objects:
1. Choose 6 – 10 snapshots family members. The photo you want to use as your main image object should be made from at least a 5″ X 7″, better still, an 8″ X 10″. The other objects should range from 1/2″ to 1″ in height to give your stamp some variation. Scan them into your computer or have a friend do it for you. I sometimes use a digital camera or have a digital version made when my film is processed at my local Photo Center.

How to Prepare Images for Electronic Presentation

Electronic presentation of images requires somewhat different preparation than for printing. This article recommends a process that has proven satisfactory to the author. Other methods may be equally valid, and the “best method” will continue to evolve as technology changes. This article assumes Photoshop CS on Windows, but other image processing software can be used to implement the same method. Although much of the discussion assumes you are preparing images for digital projection, the same methods generally apply to preparing images for display on computer monitors or even televisions.
