Download “From Woman to Angel with Photoshop” PDF

After studying at the Beaux-Arts in Marseilles and working in filmmaking, I found a compromise between those two worlds, one in which I can put a character on stage, and then model, color, and texturize her using Photoshop. Paintings of women represent a large part of my work. Using costumes and accessories, I enjoy creating often baroque or timeless worlds, blending styles and eras, and drawing my inspiration from mythological and symbolist imagery. The resulting work, which is quite unlike traditional photography, is designed to create a fairy tale–like universe in a pictorial style close to that of the Italian Renaissance. I decided to avoid traditional representations of angels, with their characters dressed in white, with halos and big wings, set against a background of clouds.

Learn to Design an Adobe Flash web page header

Adobe® Flash® is the most popular way to add animation and interactivity to web pages. When you work on a flash project, the source file that you save is a .fla. When you want to see how your project will look on a web page, you will ‘publish’ the file as an .swf file which is embedded into a .html file. An ‘object’ tag which contains the parameters for the flash ‘movie’ can be embedded into an html file with Dreamweaver® or using the Flash application itself. This lesson will be for the Windows operating system (Sorry Mac Users). So let us go through the process, step by step… Here are the images that I will work with. They’ve been created in Photoshop (see my web design tutorial). Note that most of them have transparent edges. To create this effect (In Photoshop), select and copy each element from a layer of the design and paste into a new canvas. Make sure that the background layer is turned off. Save as a .png file and select Interlace:None from the PNG Options.

Image Stitching Using Photoshop

Several images can be stitched together (sometimes referred to as “montaging”) through the use of Photoshop. Edges of the images can be feathered and the process automated to reduce the hours of work that can go into this procedure.

Before going any further, let me quick to say that more than one company has developed protocols to accomplish image stitching. When your lab is looking at large fields while needing to resolve fine details, then I would strongly recommend the purchase of a system designed for this purpose. Issues surrounding motorized stage accuracy, problems with tilting when a camera is perched on a long optical tube, and image to image correction for contrast, color and uneven illumination can all contribute to confounding issues when image stitching. These companies have worked through these problems with off-the-shelf systems.
