Your new EmerGen Switch will provide you with a way to safely utilize your generator power through your existing electrical wiring during a power outage. You’ll install your switch next to your home’s electrical panel load center and then you’ll connect circuit breaker wires to the transfer switch’s circuits. Once you power up your portable generator, you will manually turn on each switch and that generator energy is transferred as electrical power and goes through the house circuits you have previously chosen. Your EmerGen Switch is easy for a licensed electrician or qualified professional to install, safe for a homeowner to operate, and will work with 120/240V single phase AC generators, factory equipped with NEMA type receptacles L14-20R or L14-30R , depending on the size EmerGen Switch you have chosen. Transfer of bulk electrical power over long distances is routine in North America in order to have a reliable and economical electrical supply. For example, hydro- electric power generated in Canada can be transferred to consumers and industry in Los Angeles using the high voltage transmission system. But the transmission system has a limited capability to transfer power. The maximum power that can be transferred is called the transfer capability. To operate the power system safely and to gain the benefits of the bulk power transfers, the transfer capabilities must be calculated and the power system planned and operated so that the power transfers do not exceed the transfer capability.

COMPRESSOR CLUTCH CONTROL
Evaporator Temperature Switch
Although compressor clutch does not normally cycle on and off, an evaporator temperature switch turns off the compressor clutch if evaporator temperature decreases to 32øF (0øC). This prevents evaporator icing.

A/C Pressure Switch
A/C pressure switch is a triple-pressure switch, which monitors high side pressure. See Fig. 1. If pressure decreases to less than 17.4 psi (1.2 kg/cmý), A/C pressure switch interrupts power to compressor clutch (low-pressure cutout). Switch closes when pressure increases to more than 34.8 psi (2.4 kg/cmý).

The AFC is adjustable in 500rpm increments and automatically interpolates (averages) between these points.
