Hybrid Fork Suspension system (HFS®) consists in a gas spring and in an helicoidal spring for each fork. Gas spring is received assembled from factory and ready to be installed in your motorbike. After installing the system, it is necessary to adjust it using the pump that is provided with the kit, following instructions that will be explained later.

The diagram illustrates 8-3/4″ axles. The top is a 66-72 A-body axle. and the other two are longer axles that generally resemble the B and C body and truck axles. C body and truck axles can be shortened and resplined by a quality machine shop, however it is important to note that not all C-body/ Truck axles are created equally.

It may help you to know that if you plan on ordering a new General Motors car or truck, but don’t want DRLs, you don’t have to have them. Simply insist that the car be ordered with RPO T62. RPO means “Regular Production Option” T62 “Lamp System Daytime Running – Delete.” (Unofficial list of 2002MY GM truck RPOs) Remember, DRLs are not mandatory in the United States. You don’t have to have them if you don’t want them. If buying from stock, INSIST that the dealer disable the DRLs as a condition of sale. Contrary to what the dealer might say, there is no law in the US preventing them from doing so.

Turn the ignition key to the OFF position and secure the steering wheel in a straight ahead position with a rope or similar device Never place the ignition key in the LOCK position This will result in damage to the steering lock mechanism Move the gearshift lever to the N Neutral position When towing with the rear wheels on the ground release the parking brake.

1) Disconnect negative battery cable and ground strap at transaxle. Disconnect positive battery cable. Remove battery and battery base. Remove drain plug, and drain transaxle fluid (remove fill plug to speed draining). Install drain plug with NEW washer, and tighten plug to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS TABLE at the end of this article.
2) Disconnect wiring for starter motor, transaxle lock-up control solenoid and shift control solenoid. Remove starter. Disconnect mainshaft and countershaft speed sensor connectors. Remove complete air cleaner case assembly. Disconnect and remove throttle control cable at transaxle bracket.

Proper mounting location
Securely install the interface in a location free from; heat, humidity, moving parts or direct sunlight. Beware of hot-air flow from your vehicle’s climate control system. We recommend securing the interface to a suitable location, free of sharp metal edges, using double sided tape, Velcro or wire ties.
