Cursor control:
The cursor key is used to activate the cursor in the comm and GPS windows, and is used to highlight fields for data entry, changing display data or cycling through available options. Pressing once activates the cursor in the comm window, and is indicated by a highlighted area around the standby frequency. Pressing again moves the cursor to the GPS window and is indicated by a highlighted data field. Pressing a third time turns the cursor off.

The sodium layer considered here is situated in the mesosphere at 91.5±10 km and has a mean column density of 3×10 9 cm – 2 , value that is strongly latitude dependent. However this layer ‘suffers’ from seasonal, daily and short-term variations. Send us your contributions and remember Renotes is not just about older cars, contributions from members with new Renaults are just as valid. On our letters page the debate on speed continues. This debate, sparked by the oft-quoted remark that ‘speed kills’ is I think missing the point. Perhaps a more appropriate slogan would be ‘inexperience kills’ for it is a fact that for years driving instructors have been teaching people to pass a relatively simple driving test when really they should be teaching them to drive. There is a world of difference between the two.

The essential distinction between SDTV and HDTV is bound up in the core issue of the term “high definition”. It implies that HDTV is distinguished from traditional video primarily by more “definition” – thus producing much higher picture sharpness. Thus, any discourse on mixing SDTV products with HDTV products needs to be closely examined from the viewpoint of its impact on the “high definition” aspect of the final imagery. Unlike the digital cameras and recorders that make up contemporary digital imaging systems, the lens is a totally analog technology. It is a very physical technology, in the fullest sense of the word. The lens is also dynamic— in terms of the substantial degree of control it can exercise over the object image that it presents to the camera image sensors.

There has been a significant interest in processing, within an RDBMS streams of changes to the data and reporting when the result of a query defined over the data changes. These queries are referred to as the continuous queries (CQ) since they continually produce results whenever new data arrives or existing data changes. The interest is driven by sensor and event data processing (RFID in particular), real-time reporting of Key Performance Indicators for Business Intelligence, and by security monitoring to discover sequence of prohibited or dangerous events. One primary reason for an RDBMS solution for stream computation is the declarative power of SQL that enables rapid and uniform (via a single language) application development and offers potential for optimizations of multiple stream queries using multi-query optimization techniques.
