This paper presents a proposed conceptual architecture for the MySQL Relational Database Management System (RDBMS). The paper first goes into a brief examination of general RDBMS’s. This research serves as a “roadmap” for further architectural discovery. It is a good assumption that the architecture for MySQL is similar to that of a general RDBMS architecture. Beyond this, MySQL documentation and literature specific to MySQL was examined to assist in defining the actual conceptual architecture of MySQL.

The AFC is adjustable in 500rpm increments and automatically interpolates (averages) between these points. The Linux device driver of the Nokia D211 is provided partly in binary and partly in source code form. The code must be compiled to a loadable kernel module, which can then be inserted into a running Linux kernel. A binary userspace daemon is used for the kernel module management. The included command line utility can be used for configuring the device driver. The device driver may not work with all Linux kernel versions. See the section for tested kernel versions.

I worked with a content management and publishing system at a newspaper for several years that revolved around massive Sybase databases, to the point of storing huge Encapsulated PostScript graphics files in BLOBs. The system worked quite well, but as the core business of the newspaper happened in those databases, as a DBA I was understandably always cautious to make sure the databases were healthy.

The ROM monitor is a small program that allows Micropak to debug other, user programs, in the starter kit boards. These boards are supplied with the TOPAS starter kits. In order to perform debugging you must first program the microcontroller on the board with your program and the accompanying ROM monitor. You can do this by selecting the Program command from the Project menu. This should display the Program dialog box. Before pressing OK to start programming make sure that the Include ROM Monitor option is selected. If this option is disabled, then you have probably not selected a ROM Monitor microcontroller. To do this go to the Project Settings dialog box and select a Processor which contains the words “ROM Monitor”.
