Begin the installation by parking on a flat surface, as you will have to engage and disengage the hand brake and shift from gears to neutral. A. Place a piece of masking tape on the edge of the hood and the edge of the fender as shown to the right. This will be used to mark the centerlines of both the hood brackets and fender brackets.
B. Hook the tape measure over lower corner of hood – be sure to measure from the hood corner (above hinge). Place a mark at exactly 10-3/4″ on the fender tape, and 22-1/2″ on the hood tape (see table below for model years). Mark both sides the same way and verifies your measurement. These measurements are critical, take your time.
