Learn to Design an Adobe Flash web page header

Adobe® Flash® is the most popular way to add animation and interactivity to web pages. When you work on a flash project, the source file that you save is a .fla. When you want to see how your project will look on a web page, you will ‘publish’ the file as an .swf file which is embedded into a .html file. An ‘object’ tag which contains the parameters for the flash ‘movie’ can be embedded into an html file with Dreamweaver® or using the Flash application itself. This lesson will be for the Windows operating system (Sorry Mac Users). So let us go through the process, step by step… Here are the images that I will work with. They’ve been created in Photoshop (see my web design tutorial). Note that most of them have transparent edges. To create this effect (In Photoshop), select and copy each element from a layer of the design and paste into a new canvas. Make sure that the background layer is turned off. Save as a .png file and select Interlace:None from the PNG Options.

A checkmark appears next to the words when they are selected and their palettes should be visible on the Desktop. Select Rulers from the View menu. This will place a measuring scale on the top and left side of imagery and is a feature you may find helpful.
2. From Edit > Preferences (Photoshop > Preferences in Mac OSX) select Display and Cursors. A window opens where you may adjust how the cursor is displayed with various tools. For painting tools select Full Brush Tip and click on the Show crosshair in brush tip option. This will show the exact size, shape and center of all painting tools when one is in use. Comparing Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Replication and DataXtend Remote Edition

Progress® DataXtend™ Remote Edition and Microsoft® SQL Server™ both provide a set of replication tools for copying, distributing, and synchronizing data from one database to another. DataXtend RE (Remote Edition) provides the most comprehensive and flexible replication and synchronization tools available for software developers and enterprise IT departments to make their applications mobile and available both on-line and off-line. While SQL Server replication technology can be used for replicating data for reporting, backup and recovery, or mobile applications, its features are better suited for non-mobile, non-distributed/connected applications.
