This document is meant to serve primarily as a guide to using Adobe Photoshop CS as a tool to generate visual layouts, generate graphics from these layouts and optimize graphics for placement on the web.

There are three different steps to this guide. The first is an explanation of image file types, which will describe what each file type is, the pros and cons for each type and when you should use each type while saving and creating images. Recommendations & Requirements
The designer who wants to create Printed Creation Content for Photoshop Elements 5.0 must have a
working knowledge of:
•Photoshop CS2 and its new features, especially smart objects (which is used to create frames, layouts, and themes)
•Adobe Illustrator CS2

This tutorial will run through the design and simulation of a ‘plain vanilla’ positive edge triggered D flip-flop. Electric allows the design to be done and linked together through what are called facets. These facets are each different hierarchical levels of the design (i.e. Layout, schematic, VHDL, and so on). The design of this flip-flop will be covered in the transistor, schematic, VHDL, and layout levels. The purpose of this tutorial is to cover those topics that are not covered sufficiently in the provided User’s Manual. Photography on top level pages of the site incorporates one of two blend styles at the bottom of the image area. The blend styles create a softer appearance and convey a visually more open, less blocky impression to reflect the open-minded, inclusive and welcoming Hamline spirit.

Use of either blend style on other photos throughout the site is optional. The style should be used freely to convey openness and warmth, but with judgment about whether it is appropriate to the nature of an image or the overall effect of a page layout. In the example images on this page, the screen bar style may be considered a better choice than the gradation fade style because the book in the photo is more visible.
