1. M-LPR Installation
1. The download fileis a self-extracting archive file in zip format. You can extract the downloaded file by excuting the downloaded file.

Before you can use the UPS monitoring software program, you need to install the cable connecting the UPS system to the serial port on the computer. All new UPS systems have the serial communications port on the back panel, labeled RS-232C. The cable for most UPS units is made with two male DB-9 connectors. It connects between the female DB-9 connector on the UPS rear panel and any compatible serial port on the computer. Be sure the cable is shielded and is terminated on the shell of the connector. This section describes cables connecting the UPS to a serial port on your computer. See the next section, “Switch Contact Port Cabling,” for information on constructing a cable to use the port labeled “UPS Port” on the back of many Alpha Micro computers.

GPSinterface is a stand alone utility for the downloading, uploading, managing and exporting of waypoints with Garmin or Magellan GPS receivers. The program is able to connect via serial cable to either of these manufacturers units, provided your computer has a serial communications port. The Video Image Processing (VIP) system consists of two applications: VIP Capture and VIP Retrieval. The VIP Capture site obtains and stores pictures. The VIP Retrieval application is used to retrieve and view pictures that have been taken at VIP Capture sites or to view live video. VIP can also be used for enhancing, storing and printing pictures from a VCR playback. With VIP, the image is saved digitally, and the network transaction information – transaction number, institution number and address, the camera that took the picture, and the network date and time, when available – is saved with the picture.
