RotorQ System Settings Guide

The RotorQ system is shipped with default settings that are in compliance with Daimler-Chrysler’s specifications. Most of the settings in the software should not need to be changed. Changing any of the settings that are not described below will likely make the system and it’s test results non-compliant. Future releases of the RotorQ software may hide these settings from the user. There are, however, settings that need to be changed to prevent extremely long test times. Some of these settings are in the program’s “File => Preferences => System Settings…” menu item.

How to Make Basic Image Adjustments using Photoshop CS2

Getting Around in Photoshop
Color Management Color management standards let you move image files between computers and applications, or from camera, to monitor, to printer, with relative color consistency.

The system works by embedding a “color profile” into to an image file that specifies what color space is in use. When the file is opened in Photoshop, if the working space for Photoshop is set for a different colorspace than specified in a file’s color profile, Photoshop may be set to give an alert, or to “preserve” the embedded profile to maintain the appearance of the colors in the image.

A checkmark appears next to the words when they are selected and their palettes should be visible on the Desktop. Select Rulers from the View menu. This will place a measuring scale on the top and left side of imagery and is a feature you may find helpful.
2. From Edit > Preferences (Photoshop > Preferences in Mac OSX) select Display and Cursors. A window opens where you may adjust how the cursor is displayed with various tools. For painting tools select Full Brush Tip and click on the Show crosshair in brush tip option. This will show the exact size, shape and center of all painting tools when one is in use. 2. Within the layers window, double click on the background layer to turn it into a regular working layer.
3. Use the rectangular marquee tool to select an area within the picture. I’ve circled the rectangular marquee tool in red. Once you have made your selection, click on the “Add Mask” option within the layer’s pallet. I’ve circled the “Add Mask” option in yellow.
