Photoshop 7 Short Guide

The ToolBox contains different cursor tools that allow you to perform a variety of operations on your image. They can all be chosen by clicking on the button in the Box, but also by typing the letter that is given in brackets in the description below. Some of them, with a small arrowhead at the bottom right corner, have multiple choices, which you also will see from the list below. The lower part of the ToolBox contains control areas for colour selection, and different display options. Some tools in the toolbox have options that appear in the context-sensitive Options bar that will appear at the top of the window just below the Menu bar. Leaving the cursor on a button will show the name of the tool as well as the shortcut key in brackets. To save space, I will only describe the tools that are useful when working with “scientific” images.

A. Place a piece of masking tape on the edge of the hood and the edge of the fender as shown to the right. This will be used to mark the centerlines of both the hood brackets and fender brackets.
B. Hook the tape measure over lower corner of hood – be sure to measure from the hood corner (above hinge). Place a mark at exactly 10-3/4″ on the fender tape, and 22-1/2″ on the hood tape (see table below for model years). Mark both sides the same way and verifies your measurement. These measurements are critical, take your time.

How to Create Seamless Pattern in Illustrator for use in Photoshop

After using the Define Pattern command in Photoshop, you can then fill a selected area with that pattern. However, if the area to be filled is larger than the pattern itself, Photoshop “tiles” that area with repeated copies of the pattern. If the pattern doesn’t match up perfectly, the resulting seams between the tiles are clearly visible. In order to avoid the seams—to create a seamless fill—you can create a seamless pattern in Illustrator by following the directions below.

Photoshop Tip: Create a Racing Flag

I’m back from this year’s PhotoshopWorld Conference & Expo and ready to show off some new image-editing tricks. On tonight’s episode of “The Screen Savers” I’ve got a nice project for all you NASCAR dads (and moms) out there. I’ll show you how to create a checkered racing flag using Photoshop. Making a checkered flag sounds easy enough, but we’ll also add filters to our image to make it look like it’s really flapping in the wind.

Honda History – from the 1998 Website

Dave started his bike career restoring an early CB750. Buying bits from a breaker led to him buying job lots and before he knew it he was dealing in new and used Honda parts in London.
