Image Processing in Photoshop Elements 2.0 & 3.0

Please note that this is just my take on the process that I have picked up from other photographers that have helped me along the way. I have combined all their processing to come up with this step by step guide to processing your photos. Like I said it’s a guide and don’t be afraid to tweak the process a bit. This, from what I can gather is the general process that most photographers use. There are a few photographers I must thank, Eduard (IL76), Dimitris, Mick Bajcar (Dendrobatid) and Paul Markman (Psych) for all their help.

The Search and Rescue (SAR) feature must be purchased and activated before use. Contact a Garmin-authorized service center for configuration and a Secure Digital (SD) unlock card. If Search and Rescue is not enabled, it is not visible on any PFD/MFD page or menu. Instructions are presented here for quickly and easily incorporating search patterns into a flight plan. Ducati’s 900SS Raw riding sensation

Mike Hailwood drove kids like me mad by winning on a Ducati 900 at the 1978 TT and we’re the adults who desire these bikes today. The 900SS is a single-minded sportster that still stirs emotions, some of which don’t have a name.

FLASH MX Tutorial Creating Drag and Drop Objects that snap into Place – Make a Puzzle

In order to make a puzzle where you can drag the pieces into place, you will first need to select a picture and slide it into pieces. You can use an image editor like Adobe photoshop, create some guides on top, then use the marquee tool to select each square copy it and paste it into a new file. Then save the graphics – I recommend you name them something like puz1.jpg, puz2.jpg etc. You may want to start with a really simple puzzle that contains only 4 or 9 pieces. The one below uses 12. Make sure you first set the image resolution of the large image using image size command to 72 dpi first before you begin copying pieces. Note this tutorial assumes you are already familiar with basic menus in Flash.

The Journey to Flash 8

New to Flash? Quirky things….
o Vector disappearing act (can be avoided now with the “object drawing” button)
o Pay attention to your timeline and label layers; it’s easy to get “inside” an object and not know where you are
o Know when to use what (graphic vs. movie clip)
o Circle at the top of a text box means single line, no wrap; resize box to get a square that will wrap
o Things don’t move right? Watch your “snaps” (Snap to object; magnets)
o When you create a graphic or movie clip, there is an anchor point. That’s the “axis” so if you are going to rotate the object using tweens, pay careful attention to the location of the “axis” (think about a clock; move point with Free Transform) NOTE: If you are rotating/animating with Actionscript, it uses the registration point instead
o Adding actions is easy, but you must be careful. Actionscript is case sensitive.
o More on actions: If you add to the frame, a little A will appear in the frame (Actions-Frame); if you add to an object, your Actions panel should say Actions-Button (or whatever object you are clicked on)
