There are three main sections to this manual as follows:
Section I – by Carl Kulow This section consists of basic maintenance procedures that were done on an
R1150GS, 2001. Once you remove the various plastic covers from an R, RT or
RS, the procedures should essentially be identical to those given here.
Section II – by Various Authors Generally, this section contains more detailed instructions than those found in Section I, especially Stephen Karlan’s very detailed write-ups. This section also contains procedures that are not part of the normal maintenance schedule.
Section III – by Rob Lentini This section is the real masterpiece of this manual, containing Rob Lentini’s “Zero = Zero” surging fix and other gems

The COMP Cams® Acura/Honda B-Series VTEC valve spring set (Fig. A) utilizes dual springs on the intake side and a single spring on the exhaust side. Below are the information and diagrams to ensure correct installation.
Installation Instructions:
Dual Intake Spring
Installed Height: 60lbs at 1.375
Open Height: 220 lbs at .875
Coil Bind Height: .815
Spring Rate: 300 lbs per inch

The GROM AUX adapter is designed to provide endless hours of listening pleasure through most vehicles factory radio. To insure that your AUX interface performs correctly in your car or truck, we recommend that you read this entire manual before attempting install the GROM interface.

Proper mounting location
Securely install the interface in a location free from; heat, humidity, moving parts or direct sunlight. Beware of hot-air flow from your vehicle’s climate control system. We recommend securing the interface to a suitable location, free of sharp metal edges, using double sided tape, Velcro or wire ties.

To change your Network Selection
1. Press

Step 1:Take the ignition cover off. Are The Replacement Parts Similar? Compare the replacement part to the original. The replacement part should match, including the mounting hole locations. If not: Double check the application listing with your bike.
Step 2: Remove the flywheel using a proper puller. Remove the baseplate with the original stator. Disconnect the wires from the wiring loom.
Step 3: Remove existing stator coil off the baseplate and cut the wires close to the coil. Replace it with the new unit and feed the new leads though the holes in the baseplate.
