Adding a Video to Your PDF File

One of the great new features of Acrobat 6.0 and Adobe Reader is the ability to play video that is embedded inside of the PDF file. That means your rich media content can travel along with your PDF file through email and across the web.

This tutorial will show you how to add a video to your PDF file using Adobe Acrobat 7.0. First, you’ll need a movie file. Acrobat can place a movie that is compatible with Apple QuickTime, Flash Player, Windows Built-In Player, RealOne, and Windows Media Player.

The Video Image Processing (VIP) system consists of two applications: VIP Capture and VIP Retrieval. The VIP Capture site obtains and stores pictures. The VIP Retrieval application is used to retrieve and view pictures that have been taken at VIP Capture sites or to view live video. VIP can also be used for enhancing, storing and printing pictures from a VCR playback.
